Year 7 have completed their landscapes in boxes. The creations ranged from amazing models of the local area to distant urban and rural scenes from diverse countries including Turkey Finland and Egypt. Look out for brilliant recreations of the Burj Dubai, the Glastonbury Festival and Pamukkale. The most innovative idea this year incorporated blancmange to represent glacial ice.
Work from 2012 and the background to this activity

Hi Year 7s
What an awesome set of landscapes…. Some really imaginative creations here and good use of a range of materials. I’d like to say that you were all equally good…
If I was FORCED AGAINST MY WILL to choose some favourites I would give three cheers to you all, but three and a half cheers to the Olympic Stadium (love the layered cardboard action), the rural scene (those fluffy clouds!) and the volcano steaming away menacingly in the corner there….
Thanks to Mr. Jenkins too for sharing. Keep enjoying your geography !
What amazing ideas and efforts! Well done to you all some really imaginative ideas in play here in your geography classroom!
Keep your imaginations alive! And keep exploring year 7!
