I thought Daniel Raven-Ellison’s Urban Earth project was the most single most inspiring new geographical resource for teachers this year. In homage, I decided to (re)present my neighbourhood:

Nice one!
OK. I’ve got the images for a rural earth walkthru in Fauconnieres, France (been spending Xmas here with in-laws).
How should I go about making them into a video? Windows Movie Maker? Or is there a function in Vimeo?
I used QuickTime Pro – it’s incredibly simple. Simply click File / Open Image Sequence and browse to the first file in the folder of images. Next, you select the number of frames per second and QuickTime makes the movie instantly – then it can exported as a QT movie. I imported my movie into iMovie and added the sound and titles as a final step.
QuickTime pro is available for windows – it costs $30.00 and is useful for other things as well.
