		<description>Noel, thanks for posting about the Vendee Globe. In fact my students are happy to cheer on all of the sailors. It&#039;s an incredible race! Many of my female students look forward to seeing Dee Caffari and Samantha Davies move to the front.  At the moment, the two woman are in 12th and 16th place, but that can change quickly!  It&#039;s great fun to follow AND we are learning quite a bit about geography, oceanography, history and perseverance! You may enjoy looking at http://horslesmurs.ning.com/group/vendeglobe2008 where a group of students and teachers from different parts of the globe are following the action of the race together.
