Wonderful instructions on how to embed Google Maps into a website! I can see geography, social studies, language arts and foreign language teachers using this on their teacher web pages.

An even simpler way to add a map to your blog is MapsForBlogs:
You just enter a street address and it generates a small HTML snippet to include in your posts.
Agreed that MapsForBlogs is very simple, though only useful for showing one point of reference. The map embedder tool allows custom KML to be added to the embedded map.

Hi Stuart - the guide was deleted by accident. Sorry. I suppose that it was redundant anyway, now that you can use the embedding code supplied by Google My Maps.
